****************************************************************************** BSW Electronic Mail 23-May-2007 18:55:01 CET Message Number 0249 ****************************************************************************** Author: BSW team Subject: Reading of RINEX 3.0 observation files Dear BSW users, The RINEX 3.0 format (http://www.aiub.unibe.ch/download/rinex/rinex300.pdf) has been accepted by the scientific community in December 2006. The next update release of the Bernese GPS Software, Version 5.0 will include RINEX 3.0 reading capability. Please read the instructions (improvement B_111) at http://www.bernese.unibe.ch/Bugs15-DEC-2006.html if you need RINEX 3.0 capability right now. Some notes on the implementation: - Galileo is not yet supported. - All programs writing RINEX files are still following the RINEX 2 standards. - The extended list of observation types defined by RINEX 3.0 is mapped to RINEX 2 supported types using a priority list. This list is defined in module $I/D_RINEX3.f90 (%I%\D_RINEX3.f90) and may be adapted to your needs. Please make sure to recompile the software (COMPLINK) after modifying that module. - The software extension was tested with a limited number of RINEX 3.0 files from independent sources. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you encounter any problems while reading your RINEX 3.0 files. Best regards, The BSW Team [Mailed from: Andreas Gaede ]
