******************************************************************************* BSW Electronic Mail 18-Aug-2005 14:35:04 CET Message Number 0204 ****************************************************************************** Author: BSW Team Subject: Planned changes to IGS antenna PCV calibrations Dear BSW Users, within the IGS considerable effort is undertaken with the ultimate goal to switch to absolute antenna phase patterns with a target date of January 1, 2006. For details see IGS Mail #5189 http://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/mail/igsmail/2005/msg00111.html The Bernese GPS Software, Version 5.0, is already in a shape to cope with this change. Absolute phase patterns can be introduced and applied for both receiver and satellite antennas without any modifications. We will make available the official absolute IGS antenna phase patterns, converted to Bernese format, on our anonymous ftp server together with a consistent satellite information file and provide information concerning the planned switch in due time. In addition an upgraded version of the ANTEX converter delivered with Version 5.0 (program PHCCNV), capable to read ANTEX version 1.3, will be made available. Although just GPS is addressed in the IGS mail referring to, you may start from the assumption that absolute PCV corrections for the GLONASS satellite constellation will not remain out of consideration. Corresponding corrections may be expected from CODE side. With best regards The BSW Team
