From stefan.schaer at aiub.unibe.ch Mon May 7 08:47:56 2012 From: stefan.schaer at aiub.unibe.ch (Stefan Schaer) Date: Mon, 7 May 2012 17:47:56 +0200 Subject: [IGSMAIL-6581] R24+ GLONASS tracking (concerning R26) Message-ID: <4FA7EEAC.5090308@aiub.unibe.ch> Author: Stefan Schaer Dear IGS colleagues, GLONASS-801, the first GLONASS-K1 satellite, launched on February 26, 2011, has been reactivated on frequency channel -5. The designation of this (25th active) GLONASS satellite is R26. The reactivation of this GLONASS satellite may be seen as a first step to expand the GLONASS constellation from 24 to 28 satellites (or eventually more). According to reports, corresponding firmware should be available for Javad receivers at the moment. Please note that successful R26 tracking will be indicated in CODE's new IGS observation data availability summary files: ftp://ftp.unibe.ch/aiub/igsdata/odata2_day.txt ftp://ftp.unibe.ch/aiub/igsdata/odata2_receiver.txt Best regards,
