From Gerald.L.Mader at noaa.gov Tue Apr 1 09:45:33 2008 From: Gerald.L.Mader at noaa.gov (Gerald L. Mader) Date: Tue, 01 Apr 2008 12:45:33 -0400 Subject: [IGSMAIL-5747]: IGS Analysis Center Workshop Message-ID: <47F266AD.6030202@noaa.gov> ****************************************************************************** IGS Electronic Mail 01 Apr 09:45:49 PDT 2008 Message Number 5747 ****************************************************************************** Author: Gerry Mader Here's a few more comments regarding the Workshop. The blocks of rooms we set aside for those arriving before and staying after the meeting have filled up. However, if you wish to arrive a little earlier and stay a little later and still enjoy the reduced rate, I should be able to get the hotel to do this. BUT you must do this very soon - like in the next week. After that, we need to begin releasing unreserved rooms. Most of you will be arriving at Miami International Airport (MIA). There is no direct bus or shuttle transportation to the hotel, so unless you're very creative, plan on taking a taxi, which should cost around $30-35. If anyone requires a visa to attend the workshop and needs a letter supporting the visa application, please let me or Jim Ray know as soon as possible and we'll get a pdf letter to you via email. The attendees list on the Workshop web site ( http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/IGSWorkshop2008/ )is mostly generated from the reservations list provided by the hotel each Friday. This list is how we know who is confirmed to attend the Workshop. So it may take a few days before you see your name appear there. If you haven't made your plans yet, please do so as soon as you can. Our special Workshop rate will expire at the end of April and as you may know, decent accomodations in Miami Beach can be pretty expensive. Looking forward to a great Workshop. ----------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Gerald L.
