From heinz.habrich at bkg.bund.de Thu Jul 28 08:30:46 2005 From: heinz.habrich at bkg.bund.de (Habrich, Heinz) Date: Thu, 28 Jul 2005 17:30:46 +0200 Subject: [IGSMAIL-5183]: BKG DC Server Replacement Remarks Message-ID: <6D9A63E05E7DD211A1AB0008C71E6F8A01E4F20D@pegasus.ifag.de> ****************************************************************************** IGS Electronic Mail 28 Jul 08:30:52 PDT 2005 Message Number 5183 ****************************************************************************** Author: Heinz Habrich With respect to the announcement in IGSMAIL-5182 and EUREFMail-2461 I have to add the following remarks to the data center server replacement: a) The old server, which is currently running in parallel, has the address "igs2.ifag.de" (and NOT igs1.ifag.de as reported in IGSMAIL- 5182). b) We use now "lowercase" file names in our archive to be conform to CDDIS and other IGS data centers. c) We merged the "IGS" and "IGEX" subdirectories of our data center, because IGS does accept combined GPS/GLONASS files since long time. Operators of GPS/GLONASS receivers and operational centers that submit combined GPS/GLONASS RINEX files to BKG are kindly asked to send the data to the IGS subdirectory by using the corresponding login information ("igsput"). d) Observations and products of the IGLOS/IGEX pilot project are missing on the new server, but they will be restored ASAP. Till then the data are available at igs2.ifag.de . e) The upload of hourly observation files of selected stations to CDDIS and SOPAC as well as the complementary download of IGS orbit files from GFZ to BKG are under investigation. f) The observation files of a couple of stations are submitted into incorrect subdirectories at BKG (e.g. some EUREF stations are submitted to the IGS subdirectory). That needs some manual actions for these stations at the moment and may cause a delay in providing the files. We are implementing some "ad hoc" solutions to prevent the delays. Sorry for arising troubles and thank you for your cooperation.
