The appointee will join the Geomatics and Water Resources group and carry out research into the analysis and utilisation of GPS observations for (near-) real-time positioning and deformation monitoring, including the precise determination of horizontal and vertical motions of the Earth's crust and structures on the Earth. The position is available from 1 May 2004, for two years in the first instance but with the expectation of continuation depending on funding and performance. Salary will be at an appropriate point on the scale GBP 18,265 - GBP 27,339 per annum (pending review), according to qualifications and experience.
