Currently, ALL observation files on SOPAC's archive, prior to year 2001, have been converted to compressed RINEX format...only 2001 remains. This message is meant to inform the GPS community that SOPAC will now be converting "current" observation data files (i.e. 2001) to compressed RINEX format beginning as soon as possible. For those users who prefer standard unix-compressed files we plan to offer two copies of each file for a period of 60 days, after which only the Hatanaka-compressed RINEX observation file will remain. The 60 day window will gradually diminish in length over the next few months to a span of 0 days, marking the end of SOPAC's archiving "o.Z" files. Please send questions or concerns to archive at josh.ucsd.edu.
