Springer Subject: TurboRogue Download Problem Subject: TurboRogue Download Problem Dear Colleagues, Two recent e-mails, IGSMAIL #2243 from Herb Dragert and the EUREFMAIL from Carine Bruyninx (#262), have indicated that there are some problems with downloading data from the TurboRogue receivers since yesterday. At CODE we therefore checked our results from our rapid orbit solution and noticed that the problem occurs at many IGS sites (see our "pseudo graphics" below). From the 53 sites which were used for todays rapid solution some 14 seem to suffer the same problem. Interesting is that these problems seem to be correlated with the testing which was announced for PRN 27 (see graphics). It is also clear that not all TRs are suffering from this problem indicating that it might be a firmware version problem (I did not have time to check this so far). Please check if your station is suffering this problem and if you can find some way to solve it. If anyone has a solution for this problem please inform us (the IGS) as soon as possible. One solution indicated by Hans van der Marel in EUREFMAIL #263 (included below) is real-time data download. We typically offload the data in real time (as it comes) to PC. Therefore, the offload command is given only once at the time the PC is started. The PC is used to store the data, and not the flashcard. Hans -- dr.ir.
