It is the location of the primary time and frequency standard of Russia. The station further expands the network of permanent European IGS stations to the east and may be considered as an important step in closing the gap in the coverage of Asia. The station is colocated with an older generation SLR system which will probably be replaced by a 3rd generation system this year. Currently the station is equiped with a TRIMBLE 4000SSE receiver, connected to a kinematic survey antenna. For the moment it is running on its internal clock, but it will be connected to a hydrogen maser soon. DUT will act as the operations center for the station. From there, the data will be transferred to the regional data center at IfAG. Since early January, the station has been providing daily observations to verify the operational procedure and to enable an assessment of the data quality. Data noise is slightly higher than for other IGS stations (8-9 mm), but the coordinate solutions are very consistent (3-5 mm). The site log, which has been submitted to the IGS Central Bureau is included below.
